GoPro Mounts

Clamp mount

Clamp mounts* are used to clamp the camera to any object. There are various mounting options, e.g. screwed down like a screw clamp, or with a pressure spring, such as clothes pegs. This mount serves less as a body mount and more as a tripod that stays still in one place.

Jaws: Flex clamp

The Jaws: Flex clamp* is very versatile. It consists of two parts. The first is the strong clamp that can be attached to all kinds of things - from skateboards to furniture or branches to a guitar, anything that is not too thick is possible.

The second important component is the flexible "snake arm", a few centimetres long, which is attached to the clamp. The camera is attached to the other end of the arm. So you can simply "bend" it to the desired perspective.

Gooseneck

The Gooseneck* is basically the bendable arm known from the Jaws: Flex clamp. Gooseneck means "goose neck" in German and describes the mount very well. For example, it can simply be attached to an adhesive pad and its flexibility allows the camera to be ideally aligned.

Dog Mount (Fetch)

There have been a lot of GoPro dog videos on YouTube for a long time. So it was only a matter of time before there was an extra mount for the dog*. This harness is basically a chest strap for the dog. The camera can be mounted on top of the back or under the belly.

Microphone stand holder

The microphone stand holder* is particularly interesting for musicians. At rehearsals, gigs or concerts, a microphone stand can be quickly converted into a GoPro stand. This way, the band can be filmed quietly and unobtrusively.

Bodyboard mount

There is a special mount* for bodyboards, where the camera is not glued on, but fixed to the board with a screw device. This makes it almost impossible for the camera to get lost.

Diving accessories

While most GoPro accessories are very versatile and can be used for a wide variety of situations, diving and underwater operations require very specialised equipment. Most of these accessories are really only designed for underwater use.

Filter

Underwater, the red component in the light decreases particularly strongly. The pictures are therefore always very greenish/blue. To counteract this effect, there are filters* that are attached in front of the camera lens. Depending on the colouration and light conditions in the water, you usually choose red or magenta filters.

Diving tripods

In order to be able to guide the camera particularly calmly underwater, there are special handles* that are held with both hands. This allows you to move the camera calmly in front of you while using your legs to propel it forward. If you only hold the camera in one hand, the videos quickly become shaky, as you usually automatically move your arms to swim as well.

Diving goggle mount

If you want to have your hands free, there are now even special gopro scuba mask* that offer a mounting device for GoPro cameras. The camera is then positioned in front of the forehead, so that you can record your own view.

(Dive) Light

The deeper you dive and the more polluted the water, the less light penetrates through the water masses. However, to get sharp, high-quality pictures, good light is enormously important. Therefore, it is advisable to have your own light source* with you when diving in poor visibility. There are many variations of these, some of which also come with mounts and handles for the camera.

Sportsman mount

This mount* is probably made mainly for the American market. It can be attached to various weapons, but also fishing rods or paintball markers.

Mouth holder

The mouth holder* is especially helpful when you need or want to have both hands free. You actually bite into this holder to then "hold" the camera directly in front of your mouth.

Steady Cam tripod

A steady cam* is a kind of handheld tripod for the camera that is used to take particularly steady - i.e. not shaky - pictures. This is made possible by special joints that can usually be moved freely in 3 axes. The camera movement is then absorbed by a counterweight and the shots look particularly "soft".

Hand Gimbal

A hand gimbal* serves the same purpose as a steady cam. However, the whole thing works electronically. This saves size and weight and the gimbal is hardly bigger than a normal hand tripod. Expensive, but cool ?
